With speculative techniques of growing interest worldwide, I have had the honor and pleasure of conducting speculative workshops in Canada, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Singapore, and the United States; at institutions including Harvard, MIT, Digital Asia Hub, and the University of Toronto. I am the editor of Drones & Dreams: A Speculative Sprint Story Collection (2019) and have worked with university faculty to design speculative exercises for courses exploring topics of science, technology, gender, and art. I maintain a (partial) public list of speculative prompts I have created, often in collaboration. If they inspire you in your writing, design, research, or teaching—and I hope they do!—please drop me a line. (Attributions are all listed with the prompts; if no one else is named then I wrote it solo.) If you are interested in organizing a workshop or other speculative project, please contact me.
